Jeddah – King Abdulaziz University celebrated the 95th Saudi National Day in a ceremony organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 (8/4/1447H), at the King Faisal Conference Center. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Al-Aama, President of the University, along with vice presidents, deans of faculties and deanships, students, faculty and staff, and with the participation of the General Department of Traffic. The celebration drew a large audience and wide engagement.

 

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a patriotic performance presented by university students that reflected values of belonging and loyalty. This was followed by a national choral performance with the participation of male and female students, after which attendees viewed a documentary film highlighting the significant contributions of the General Department of Traffic to the nation and society.

In his speech, Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Al-Aama emphasized that the 95th Saudi National Day is a moment of pride and reflection on the journey of unification laid by the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, may God rest his soul, and carried forward by his righteous sons up to the present prosperous era under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect them.

 

He added: “This great anniversary is not merely a passing occasion, but a shining milestone in which we recall God’s countless blessings upon us, renew our determination, and strengthen our resolve to continue serving our nation. It is a reminder of the development and prosperity our beloved Kingdom is experiencing, guided by an ambitious vision that has made our country a global model of balanced growth, sustainable development, creative innovation, and the empowerment of people, the foundation and ultimate goal of true renaissance.”

 

Dr. Al-Aama affirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to being a beacon of science and knowledge, contributing to the nation through qualified graduates, solid research, and community partnerships that elevate the Kingdom’s global standing. He stressed that the university’s mission and strategic objectives are aligned with the aspirations of the wise leadership, striving to prepare a generation of students who represent the true wealth of the nation and the foundation of its future success.

 

He further noted that honoring national institutions is one of the most important ways to express love and loyalty to the homeland. This year, the university honored the General Department of Traffic in recognition of its boundless dedication and tremendous efforts in serving both citizens and residents, as well as its commitment to providing high-quality services that reflect professionalism and devotion to duty. He praised the contributions of traffic personnel in enhancing public safety and ensuring efficient traffic management, supported by modern technologies provided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior and its various sectors.

 

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Aama extended his highest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, praying that God preserve them and continue to bless the Kingdom with security, prosperity, and stability.

 

The ceremony concluded with Major General Ahmed bin Musaad Al-Suraihi, Director of Traffic in Jeddah, receiving a commemorative shield on behalf of the Director General of the General Department of Traffic, presented by Dr. Al-Aama in appreciation of the department’s distinguished role in serving the nation and enhancing its safety, a reflection of the competence and excellence of this vital national body, supported by the leadership and the advanced technological capabilities of the Ministry of Interior.
